The meeting:

- involved 16 speakers from the UK, America, Canada, and Australia.

- was funded by the Royal Society of London and held at Chicheley Hall, the newly opened Kavli Royal Society International Centre.

- was part of the Royal Society's Research Fellows International Scientific Meetings programme and organised by Dr Anthony Little.
